From here, most wandered down to the Chimp enclosure, some stopping off at the Yellow-Footed Rock Wallabies along the way. From the stories, the Chimps certainly entertained, posing perfectly for us. Small groups wandered off to do their own thing, catching buses to the various other parts of the Zoo and catching keeper talks where they could.
Hunger pains got the best of most about 1pm and the café provided a great chance for everyone to fill their stomachs while catching up on the morning’s events and comparing photos.
The afternoon was spent travelling between viewing platforms and keeper talks, finishing with the Cheetah who provided plenty of photo opportunities tucking into some nice, fresh meat. The last bus back to the visitor centre reunited members for the obligatory group photo.
I can safely say that all who went had a great day. Thanks to ZoosSA for the opportunity.
